Bring a gift for another child of the same age/gender but do NOT wrap the gift. They are going to the Santa Shop for the Homeless Liaison for Suwannee County Schools.

Come expecting a fun night as we celebrate the real meaning of Christmas with special activities all night!

AWANA Grand Prix

Fun for the whole church!

Gates open at 5:00 pm

Green flag drops at 6:00 pm

Anyone can race a car if they follow the 'Construction Guidelines' and 'Rules' found at www.fbcliveoak.org/race.

Race Categories:  Cubbies, Sparks, T&T and Non-Clubber

 

Oct 28 (Wed) — deadline to turn in block of wood with drawing to have it cut out

 

Nov 4 & 11 (Wed) — scales & dimension box available for you to “check-in” your car

 

Nov 14 (Sat) 10am - noon — optional time to test run your car on the track & make final adjustments (tools & Grand Prix officials will be on hand)

 

Nov 14 (Sat) NOON — CAR check-in deadline

 

Concessions at the race are free for all

 

We are currently looking for adults to help in the concessions area because our chef just found out he will be out of town.  If you can help during ½ or all of this event, please reply as soon as possible.  We are keeping it simple . . . hot dogs, nachos, etc.  It’s going to be a lot of fun!

This is an event you don't want to miss!

How it works:

1) purchase a car kit for $10 on club nights

2) design & cut out your car according to guidelines in your kit

3) return your car to be weighed & measured

4) race your car at the Grand Prix with 100's of others

* clubbers & parents/grandparents can enter this event *

The night of the race, we will have food & lots of fun!

AWANA Starts Back

AWANA starts back on September 9 along with a full semester of other great opportunities! So make sure you check the church website regularly for more information.

Club starts at 6:00 pm

Supper starts at 5:15 pm BUT prices & sign-up procedures
have changed so check with pre-registration tables on Sunday.

If you registered last year, you will have the option to make edits to a pre-filled form using last year's information. If you did not register last year, or know significant info changed, go to the website (www.fbcliveoak.org/awana) for a blank registration form. Pre-registration is just before the Sunday AM church services in the Family Ministry Building on 8/30 and 9/6. You will also be able to print a Parent Handbook from the website.

1st night of club - your child needs to bring their old book & wear their uniform if in the same club. Points will be given the 1st night for book, Bible, attendance, etc. Be sure you WALK them in the 1st night so you can pick up a club calendar for this year.

Thank you parents and kids for an awesome year at Centri-Kid! God did a great work in our hearts during this week as we focused on Jesus -- who He is, what He did and what He can be for each of us every day. I'm praying God continues to work in all of our hearts and that we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading & that we'll obey what He asks each of us to do.
