Thank You!

Thank_you

Because of your generosity, we collected 302 gifts for children through the Gingerbread Tree this year.  All of these gifts will go to the Santa Shop. Through the Santa Shop, the Suwannee County School District’s Students in Transition (program for displaced children) will be able to make Christmas bright for many children within our community.  We are thankful to partner with them and thankful for all you gave!

Gingerbread Trees going up today!

You have the opportunity this Christmas to touch a child's life that lives in our own Suwannee County.  We are teaming up to help the office for displace children in our local schools.  They host a Santa Shop where they hope to make Christmas special for every child.  Please stop by either of the trees in the sanctuary or Family Ministry Building and choose 1 or more gingerbread men.  It is not required that you take a gingerbread for each gift you provide, but they are simply to help remind you to have the gift to the tree by Wed, Dec 5.  We will have a special time of dedication and prayer that night during our regular Awana Worship time.

We had such a great time at this year's music camp. The theme was "The Game Plan" and we learned a lot about teamwork and the most important game plan - God's.  The Sunday night performance was spectacular!

Child (& Parent) Dedication Class

Dad_baby_hands

No one will have more influence on your child than YOU!  We want to be your biggest fans, strongest supporters and trusted guides as you raise your child to know what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Leading your children to become fully devoted followers of Christ is the most important role you will play as a parent, and because of the weight of this responsibility, we want to partner with you in this.  Child Dedication is more than an event.  It is an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child's future.  This event is NOT infant baptism.

To take part in this dedication, we need you to do the following:

1st -  register for & attend a Child Dedication Classes. Only attend ONE. You can register by calling the church office at 362-1583 to insure there are enough resources for everyone attending. Options are:

   * Sun, Apr 29 during Sunday School (9:45am) in the FMB (northeast corner)

   * Sun, May 6 during Sunday School (9:45am) in the FMB (northeast corner)

2nd - attend the Child Dedication ceremony on Sunday, May 13th during the 8:30 am or 11:00 am service.  Specifics about the dedication ceremony will be gathered during the Child Dedication class.

Today’s little girls face pressure their moms didn’t know until they were in high school. Secret Keeper Girl Live: the Pajama Party Tour offers moms proven tools to coach their girls into meaningful friendships, true beauty, biblical modesty, and vibrant purity!

Secret Keeper Girl Live explores the fashion of famous TV moms and we’ll showcase some of their strangest looks! The moms will love the look back and the daughters will get a good dose of truth about peer pressure. That leads us right into plucking some precious daughters out of the audience to dress them in today’s hottest fashions, but with a special requirement. Every outfit has to pass our “Truth or Bare” Fashion Tests. You will never have so much fun digging into God’s word!

Switching over to Posterous

In my attempt to streamline communication even further, I'm going to give Posterous a try. Thanks to Jeremy Echols for the advice on this one.  I'm really hoping it saves me some time but also hits all those different places where info is falling between the cracks.  :)
