Egg Stuffing & Prayer for Eggstravaganza 2013

What an awesome experience as our church family came together and stuffed over 5,000 eggs for next week's Eggstravaganza! We ended the stuffing with a special time of prayer for the event, allowing us to pray for each boy & girl that will attend. It's always fun to get together with our church family and fellowship, but it's extra special when we can all come together for some hands-on missions that can lead others to #FollowingJesus!

This week is our annual Penny Night

We are so excited to see all the coins coming in every year during our AWANA Penny Night.  Each year the boys and girls compete to see whose bucket weighs the most at the end of the night.  It is always such a close race and we are predicting this year won't be any different.  So if you haven't had a kid ask you for your spare change this week, find one and pass it along.

Saturday February 2nd was Roatan 2013 AWANA kick off. And you guys made it special giving us the opportunity to give out  gifts to these special children. We love you and you guys so  much, thanks so much for giving....

Summer Camp!

Thank You!

Because of your generosity, we collected 302 gifts for children through the Gingerbread Tree this year.  All of these gifts will go to the Santa Shop. Through the Santa Shop, the Suwannee County School District’s Students in Transition (program for displaced children) will be able to make Christmas bright for many children within our community.  We are thankful to partner with them and thankful for all you gave!

You have the opportunity this Christmas to touch a child's life that lives in our own Suwannee County.  We are teaming up to help the office for displace children in our local schools.  They host a Santa Shop where they hope to make Christmas special for every child.  Please stop by either of the trees in the sanctuary or Family Ministry Building and choose 1 or more gingerbread men.  It is not required that you take a gingerbread for each gift you provide, but they are simply to help remind you to have the gift to the tree by Wed, Dec 5.  We will have a special time of dedication and prayer that night during our regular Awana Worship time.

4,431 diapers!!!

That's amazing!  Read the attached thank you letter from the Florida Baptist Children's Homes in Tallahassee.  Thank you clubbers, leaders & parents for helping exceed our goal.

Diaper Drive for FBCH

After 3 weeks, we are just over 60% of our 100 pack goal! Great job clubbers & leaders!!

We are collecting diapers for the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes as part of the annual 40 Days for the Fatherless campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of the plight of orphaned and disadvantaged children around the world. The campaign runs Wed, Sept 26 thru Sun, Nov 4 (Orphan Sunday). Please help us positively impact foster families and international childcare missions!

 

Music Camp 2012

We had such a great time at this year's music camp. The theme was "The Game Plan" and we learned a lot about teamwork and the most important game plan - God's.  The Sunday night performance was spectacular!

Child (& Parent) Dedication Class

No one will have more influence on your child than YOU!  We want to be your biggest fans, strongest supporters and trusted guides as you raise your child to know what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Leading your children to become fully devoted followers of Christ is the most important role you will play as a parent, and because of the weight of this responsibility, we want to partner with you in this.  Child Dedication is more than an event.  It is an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child's future.  This event is NOT infant baptism.

To take part in this dedication, we need you to do the following:

1st -  register for & attend a Child Dedication Classes. Only attend ONE. You can register by calling the church office at 362-1583 to insure there are enough resources for everyone attending. Options are:

   * Sun, Apr 29 during Sunday School (9:45am) in the FMB (northeast corner)

   * Sun, May 6 during Sunday School (9:45am) in the FMB (northeast corner)

2nd - attend the Child Dedication ceremony on Sunday, May 13th during the 8:30 am or 11:00 am service.  Specifics about the dedication ceremony will be gathered during the Child Dedication class.
